Ms. Marvel/ Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City. She is a huge fan of Captain Marvel and finds her place in the world when she gets superpowers like the hero she's always looked up to.

Kamala is a keen artist/ illustrator with a unique drawing style. Directed by Framestore's Ian Splendloff and design led by David Lochhead, the main creative approach was that Kamala had created these unique illustrations/ animations, many times whilst in her fantasy world. My role was to work on background elements within the title sequence, Kamala’s dream sequence (below) and any other bits thrown my way.

The 2D illustrated characters in Kamala’s dream sequence were integrated into the scene with additional 3D elements and tracked in, leading the viewers eye up the wall into Kamala's dream world and transitioning us into her sketch book at school.

Over 100 unique title cards were created by Framestore's London design studio reflecting Kamala's personality and hinting what was coming up in the episode ahead.
